People Media Factory and TG Vishwa Prasad are producing the Telugu film Swag, which centers on a politically charged family drama filmed in a comedic light and fantasy twist. Performance  

One of the most commendable features of the film ‘Swag’ is Sree Vishnu’s execution of multiple roles. Sree Vishnu’s acting is very adaptable; he can be self-assured, bewildered, and tearful all at the same time, which occurs in the course of the same scene. In the climax, he also adds tear-jerking elements which makes the high point unforgettable. Sree Varma’s acting is also with a little charm but overall it is good.  

Meera Jasmine along with Daksha Nagarkar forms a good pair and they also share the emotional burden. It is also crucial that Sunil and Ravi Babu provide much-needed relaxation and fun in the picture. Every member of the cast seems to be perfectly cast.

Direction and Screenplay  

A fair mix of comedy, mystery, and the heritage side of Indian culture is provided in the film Swag by its director, Hasith Goli. The fairy tale style of the Swag’s story is accomplished with animation and properly directed imagery. Even when the story is light-hearted, it remains emotional at its core. Goli manages to retain the balance between emotional depth and compelling pace as he builds the world around each character. Each of the characters includes traits that make them unique, yet interweave with the overall storyline.

The screenplay however lapses in the middle and tries to explain too much. Some sections in the second act tend to drag on and become a bit perplexing. Nevertheless, the film makes up for the some lost time in the final stretch.

Music

The music of Vivek Sagar seamlessly integrates with the various shifts in the film’s moods. His background score defines the royal yet quirky flavor of the film. Each piece functions to heighten the emotional or comedic impact for particular scenes, although, no song manages to outshine the rest.

The musical theme sustains the rhythm throughout the movie. Even the light-hearted segments of the film are accompanied by well-executed background scores. This serves the purpose of the story more than shining on its own.
